2012 Saskatchewan Games

The 2012 Saskatchewan Summer Games took place from July 29 – August 4 in beautiful Meadow Lake.

1000 volunteers out of a community of 5000 showed up to make the games an enormous success!.

1900 participants including athletes, coaches, managers, officials and mission staff were hosted in GEMS.pro for these games.

2012 Power Smart Manitoba Summer Games

Providing Manitobans with an opportunity to participate in a common, province-wide, organized, athletic event.

To provide an opportunity for the development of athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers.

1200 volunteers are trained to operate a multi-sport event.

1800 participants and a large number of family members contribute to an economic impact of over one million dollars on the host community.

Another special edition of GEMS.pro was used to coordinate the 2012 Jamboree Denmark from July 24th to August 11th 2010 - a little big world with everything needed to experience scouting in nature, in the town and on the Internet.

30,000 people from around the world were registered in GEMS.pro and the system was used to coordinate all their events. Great fun was had by all!

2010 Scout:Explorer:Event

2007 Canada Winter Games

The systems have been used for the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada, where they supported the administration of 500 technical officials and 3,700 participants competing in 24 different sports over 2 weeks. For the Canada Winter Games 2007 the systems were upgraded to the latest DotNet technology as well as enhanced to be multilingual so that user access can now simultaneously be supported in any number of languages. The systems had an average of more than 25,000 visits per day accessing over 400,000 pages in total per day. The Canada Winter Games Host Society expressed that the systems have been a tremendous enhancement compared to what was used for previous Canada Games.

2006 Arctic Winter Games

The systems were used for the 2006 Arctic Winter Games on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, USA, where they supported the administration of 3,000 volunteers and 1900 participants competing in 20 different sports. The Arctic Winter Games Host Society expressed that the systems have been a tremendous help in their organizing the games. Bill Popp, Revenue Development Chairman said: Life would have been chaotic without the KIMIK iT GEMS-application to keep track of the huge amount of data produced and used during the games.

2004 Arctic Winter Games

The systems were used again for the 2004 Arctic Winter Games in Wood Buffalo, North Alberta, Canada, where they supported the administration of 5,000 volunteers and 2,200 participants competing in 20 different sports. Both the Wood Buffalo Host Society and KIMIK iT put a lot of effort into the enhancement of the systems. Most significantly the systems were turned into a totally generic application hence being adaptable to facilitate most any kind of major games and events.
